Adorned with a crown, this majestic Sebastopol goose stands with quiet dignity atop her vintage pedestal, aware of her own regal charm. She is a tribute to her breed, wrapped in soft, luminescent sheep locks that mimic the iconic curly plumage Sebastopols are famous for.
Beneath her soft exterior lies a solid wool core built over a sturdy wire armature. The webbed feet are wire wrapped in wool and sealed with beeswax. The tail is made from layers of silk. A vintage wooden spool of thread— a rural New Hampshire estate sale find—serves as a pedestal. From the end of the ivory-colored thread held tightly from the beak is a single, pale blue glass bead. The crown is made from antique tinsel garland. Measures 7.5 inches tall including the spool.
