The swan is built over a wire armature and has solid wool core. The tail consists of layers of silk while the feathers are gotland sheep locks. The eyes are red glass beads. Two up-cycled beads—one clear and faceted, the other a faux pearl— dangle from the thread held tightly in the swans beak. The swan rests permanently secured to the wooden spool—a New Hampshire estate sale find. Overall height: 5.5 inches.
