This is a little diorama with big charm. As if from a tale of the English countryside, a hound chases a hare in the distance among the hedgerow as another leaps across the foreground to successfully escape capture.

The scene, housed in a vintage wooden salt cod box, is set by a portion of a print from the John Derian Sticker Book decoupaged to the background and expanded on the interior sides by oil pastel. The needle felted hare, suspended from a hidden wire, is built over a wire armature, has a solid wool core, and a custom blended top coat of fine fiber. The eyes are wool and whiskers are horsehair.
