Thee needle felted sheep as a very special fleece. While on a recent trip to Ireland, I scavenged small bits of blackface mountain sheep fiber from rock walls and barbed wire fences while hiking. I blended the coarse, straight wool with silky Cotwold locks. The effect is a soft, ethereal look.
This piece is built over a wire armature and has a solid wool core. The hooves are wire wrapped with wool and beeswax. The eyes are wool. The sheep is 8 inches long and 5.5 inches tall. Signed.
This is not a toy. Keep out of reach of young children and pets. Avoid display in direct sunlight.
