This needle felted hare is small in size and big in personality. It possesses an old world charm and a rather serious countenance. At only four inches tall, it was made with almost all the techniques of Heather’s full size felted rabbits. It is built over a wire armature with a solid wool core. The top coat, or fur, is a custom blend of fibers applied with a shingle technique and cut back with scissors to sculpt—giving it a nature look. The eyes are wool and whiskers are horsehair. Despite it’s small size, the perception of muscles and bones beneath the soft brown fur remains.
