The vintage cerulean blue box is an antique store find. It measures 6.5 inches wide, 7.5 inches tall, and 3.25 inches deep. The bird has a wire armature and a solid wool core. The top coat, or feathers, were applied in an array of dozens of tiny wool tufts, then trimmed and sculpted with scissors and felting needles. The eyes are wool with a hint of iridescent reflection. The birch branch has a custom blended top coat of silk, alpaca, and merino. The leaves are embellished with embroidered stitches. The inch worm, ladybug, and beak are hand-carved and painted epoxy.
This is not a toy. Keep out of reach of young children and pets. Avoid display in direct sunlight.
