A vintage twig basket makes a cozy nest from which this Carolina wren sings it’s loud sweet song.
The needle felted wren is made from a custom blend of fiber. The eyes are wool. The beak is carved and painted oven-dried clay. The twig basket was purchased at a vintage/antique shop in Rowley, Massachusetts. Heather added a long-ago (years) abandoned bird’s nest to the basket. The needle felted bird is not removable. The basket measures 7 inches wide and tall and 2.5 inches deep. The entire piece can be displayed nicely propped up against a vertical surface or hung on a wall. Signed
