This realistic needle-felted hare is constructed over a wire armature with a dense wool core. Its top coat features a custom blend of alpaca, Bluefaced Leicester, Corriedale, and Romney fibers, meticulously applied in a layered array of hundreds of fine tufts. The eyes are crafted from wool, with a subtle hint of iridescent reflection for added lifelike depth. Each toe is individually wire-wrapped and covered in wool, while the claws are formed from wire and finished with beeswax. The whiskers are made from horsehair. The sculpture measures approximately 12 inches tall to the tips of the ears and 13 inches in length.
