This needle felted life-size chipmunk is built over a wire armature and has a solid wool core. The top coat, or fur, was applied with a shingle technique where small tufts of fiber were applied in an array and sculpted with scissors and felting needles resulting in a more realistic pelt. The eyes are wool with a hint of reflective iridescent sparkle. The whiskers are horsehair. Signed on the underside. Measures 7 inches from nose to tail tip and 3 inches tall at the ears.
This is not a toy. Keep out of reach of young children and pets. Avoid display in direct sunlight.
