A soft, life-like needle felted bunny finds rest snuggled securely in a beautifully painted vintage tin cup.
The bunny has a solid wool core and top coat of flax, mohair, corriedale, and gotland fibers. The topcoat was applied in a layered array of hundreds of tiny tufts of fiber and sculpted with scissors, a razor, and felting needles resulting in a soft, life-like fur. The eyes are wool with a hint of iridescent fiber for reflection. The whiskers are horsehair. The bunny is permanently secured into the cup. The cup is skillfully painted with daisies in a background of antiqued cerulean blue and is initialed by the artist. The entire piece is 5 inches wide (inclusive of handle) and 4 inches tall. Signed and dated on the underside.
